Declan O’Meara – Self-portrait workshop using oil pastels with 5^th year Art students. This project was based on the theme of self-identity. 5^th year students were chosen for this workshop as they enter senior cycle, this may be a time of self-discovery for many individuals. As part of this project students were allowed to wear their own clothing that reflected their unique personality and were given the opportunity to create a self-portrait of their true selves. The finished pieces are displayed on the walls of the school and aim to promote a sense of wellbeing by celebrating difference and individuality for all.
