Each year the school asks for additional support to offer a range of initiatives and supports to students. The Student Services Support Fund is essential to ensure we can continue to offer these supports to each child in the school.
Comprehensive accident cover for all students, around the clock.
All buses for sports and extra-curricular activities — over €100,000 annually.
All affiliation fees and refereeing costs for every school activity and sport.
Funding and subsidising visiting speakers covering a wide range of wellbeing topics for students.
Running arts workshops and bringing visiting artists to school each year to enrich student artwork throughout the building.
Additional equipment for Leaving Certificate PE project work — not on equipment lists but essential for project completion.
Additional Junior Cycle Woodwork room created by converting large classroom, all equipment funded by Student Support Fund
Stocking and refurbishing the school library in conjunction with the Parents’ Association — continuing to purchase new books every year to increase library stock.
Additional lockers installed throughout the school for all pupils.
Purchase and upgrade of radio station equipment for use by students.
Full cost to date of the Astro Turf pitch — €60,000 — plus annual maintenance.
Additional equipment for the new school gym and extension into a second room.
Additional seating throughout the school, not provided by the DES.
Additional music equipment for the Music Department.
Annual running of the school Musical.
New 3D printers and laser cutter for the T4 subject department.

Increase number of Solar Panels on the school roof to reduce electricity costs.
We currently have 6kW provided by the Department of Education and 10kW provided by the Microsoft Community Grants Scheme — helping power up to 10% of the school on days in March, April and May.
