Following a period of rapid growth, it is now necessary to develop a Strategic Plan for the next four years 2017-2021, this plan is based on the schools School Self Evaluation activities which have occurred over the past four school years. In particular, the re-envisioning process carried out during the school year 2016-2017 to redevelop the schools Vision, Mission and Core Value statements. The Plan is a live document which will be amended and changed during its lifetime, and represents a continuous improvement model with all partners feeding into it. The school’s new Vision statement “Together We Will Achieve” reflects the hopes for our school and students where each of us wishes to achieve to the best of our ability, while acknowledging that this can ultimately be better achieved through partnership.
The schools new Mission statement reflects how we will achieve this vision by Caring, Developing, Praising and Believing in our students and by empowering them to also take personal responsibility for their growth and development.
This is all mediated through a shared set of core Values which underpin everything we do.
Following on from the this work a number of Strategic Goals for the development of the school over the next number of years have been developed.

What these goals look like in action as outlined forms the basis for the strategic development of the school. We have broken these 3 broad areas down into 8 key areas and utilize these to form Annual timelines for implementation for the Strategic direction of the School, later after the full consultative process in each area has been completed an Action Plan for that area will be developed which will include success criteria, action areas and evaluation timelines. It is hoped that these areas can be re-used for future years in the school. These broad areas align to the work of Michael Fullan in supporting school and system wide reform and improvement.

Whole School Evaluation
Please find attached our Whole School Evaluation Report which has recently been completed by the Inspectorate of the DES. We are delighted that the hard work of all staff has been acknowledged and for the extremely positive comments contained in the report.

Surveys on Recognition
Its aim is to provide practical feedback to strengthen student recognition. It is designed to gather and summarize perceptions on the formal and informal ways students are recognized, encouraged and rewarded in school. The survey provides insights into how students, parents and teachers perceive school recognition with regard to:
- How recognition is given – What achievements are recognized and how often are they awarded?
- How recognition is experienced – Is recognition perceived as fair, consistent, meaningful and inclusive?
- How recognition makes a difference – Do students feel motivated, inspired and included?
